Following a Grammy nomination for his third record, Verve, the Argentinian cellist, composer and producer Sebastian Plano is back with a rock-solid follow-up album: SAVE ME NOT.
Sebastian Plano cannot be pigeonholed. He manages to weave together his roots in folk music and tango with his experience as a classical cellist, throwing in some piano, church organ, bandoneon, vocals, reverb and lo-fi electronics.
Plano’s debut album, Arrhythmical Part Of Hearts (2011) kickstarted his creative quest to combine classical and electronic music. On SAVE ME NOT, Plano has created his very own creative world of sound. Recording all layers of cello, piano and vocals by himself, the record contains some of his most personal songs to date.
You can expect an evening of atmospheric meditations on cello, veering between neoclassical, ambient, and artists like Ólafur Arnalds, Arvo Pärt, and Max Richter.
