The bands blend together through their shared love of Americana, 70s folk/rock and soul music.

These two artists with Rotterdam roots provide a full evening concert in which the boundaries between the bands blur. Both artists studied at the Rotterdam Conservatory (Codarts) and share a love for americana, 70s folk/rock and soul music.

Baer Traa

Born into a nest of classical musicians, he was surrounded by symphonies and sonatas, but found his passion in American folk & soul music. Soul singers like Sam Cooke and Bill Withers and songwriters like Bob Dylan and Jackson Browne formed his sound. His fine songs immediately stood out nationwide; his first single 'Stone Cold Woman' immediately became a five star track with Gerard Ekdom (Radio 2), and live the band is sincere and raw. Exactly as it should.

Merel Sophie

Songrwiter Merel Sophie is part of supergroup Next of Kin, a collaboration with Dawn Brothers, DeWolff and Tim Knol. She stands out for her warm voice, engaging personality, and powerful stage presence. Think The Band, Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt, and Carole King. Tonight she will perform work from her debut EP (2018).

This concert has been moved from November 21, 2020 to October 16, 2021.
